Effective Date: January 1, 2026 Last Updated: September 12, 2026

Summary: At Om Software, we believe in privacy-by-design. We do not sell your personal data. Our mobile applications and web services collect only the minimal data strictly necessary to deliver high-performance functionality, ensure security, and comply with Google Play Developer Program policies.

1. Introduction & Developer Identity

This Privacy Policy governs all mobile applications, web platforms, utilities, and associated digital services (collectively, the "Services") developed, published, and maintained by Om Software ("we", "us", or "our").

If you have any questions or data protection requests regarding this policy, you may reach our designated data protection team directly at:
Official Contact Email: support@omsoftwares.org

2. Information We Collect

Depending on which of our applications or services you use, we may process information categorized into the following categories:

  • Crash & Diagnostic Data: Anonymized stack traces, operating system versions, device models, and performance logs collected via Google Play Console and Firebase Crashlytics to debug application crashes and improve system stability.
  • Device & Network Identifiers: Non-personally identifiable identifiers such as IP address, hardware model, operating system build, and general locale (country or language preference).
  • User-Provided Communications: If you submit an inquiry through our support form or email us at support@omsoftwares.org, we collect your name, email address, and message contents solely to respond to your support request.
  • On-Device Local Data: Many of our utility applications store data entirely locally on your device (e.g., local SQLite / Room databases, EncryptedSharedPreferences). We do not transmit or possess access to your local files, passwords, or encrypted vaults.

3. Mobile Device Permissions

Our mobile applications may request runtime permissions strictly required to execute core features requested by the user:

  • Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Used to communicate with backend APIs, synchronize user-requested cloud data, or perform license checks via Google Play.
  • Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to verify network connectivity before initiating network operations to preserve device battery and data bandwidth.
  • Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Optional permission requested on Android 13+ to deliver operational notifications, task reminders, or service alerts that you explicitly enable.

We never access your microphone, camera, contacts, or precise GPS location unless explicitly required by an application's specific core utility feature, accompanied by an explicit in-app disclosure.

4. Third-Party Libraries & Service Providers

To maintain reliable, secure services, our applications and web systems may interface with vetted third-party service providers who adhere to strict data security standards:

  • Google Play Services: Used for authentication, app distribution, in-app updates, and licensing verification (Google Privacy Policy).
  • Firebase (Google LLC): Used for hosting, error logging (Firebase Crashlytics), and anonymous app performance monitoring (Firebase Privacy Policy).
  • Google AdMob (if applicable): If an app displays advertisements, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and advertising IDs to serve contextual or personalized advertisements in compliance with Google Play Families Policy and User Data Policy.

5. How We Use Information

We use the minimal information collected solely for the following legitimate purposes:

  • To operate, update, and maintain our mobile software and websites.
  • To diagnose technical malfunctions, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
  • To respond to user support inquiries, technical feedback, and partner requests.
  • To protect against malicious activities, fraud, or violations of our terms.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Google Play Families Policy)

Our applications are designed for general audiences and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).

If any of our mobile titles are specifically categorized within Google Play's Designed for Families program, those titles strictly comply with the Google Play Families Policy, ensuring that no sensitive personal data or behavioral tracking is implemented. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@omsoftwares.org, and we will promptly purge the data from our systems.

7. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

In accordance with Google Play's Account Deletion and User Data policies, users have the right to request deletion of any personal data associated with their usage:

  • Local Data: You can completely erase all local application data at any time by uninstalling the application or selecting "Clear Data / Clear Storage" inside your Android device settings.
  • Support Communications: To request permanent deletion of your support email records or inquiries, send an email titled "Data Deletion Request" to support@omsoftwares.org. We will process and confirm your request within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including transport layer encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for network communications and standard cryptographic algorithms for stored assets. However, please note that no electronic transmission or digital storage method is 100% immune to potential compromise.

9. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under regional privacy legislation (such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), including:

  • The right to access and receive a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectify inaccurate information.
  • The right to object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • The right to data portability and erasure ("right to be forgotten").
